1. My piece is pretty well done. It’s kinda hard to make a smudged distinction between the pencil shades.
2. I think my pumpkin is really realistic but my other shadings aren’t as much, especially the fabric 3. There is a clear distinction of light 4. the composition sketches are very important because they allow you to get best view. 5. My drawing is successful because it shows the different values and textures 6. The proportion and structure are correct 7. It is a pleasing view because of the fabric wrapping around 8. I think the S is the center of interest because of the highlight 9. Being able to control my pencil better when shading 10. It helps to use greyscale, the closer you get to the item the better the composition (usually), and a good perspective helps. |
For my opacity drawing I drew a ornament in a Christmas tree. My piece was not very fun to do and it did not turn out the way i wanted it to. Opacity was harder than i thought to do. The see-through part of the ball does not look very accurate. I would say that is very neat but its not pretty or anything. The composition is not the best and I should have added another ornament but oh well. The pine branches are pretty good looking. They look pretty life like but I should have pushed the darks more on it. In the branches I added a lot of colors to add more value. I added brown, all colors of green, blue, red, yellow & orange. I just wanted to add more to it then just have it be green. If i were to redo this project I would redo the composition by adding more ornaments and adding more lights. I feel like I should had added more colors. I also think I should have changed the snow inside the ornament to something brighter so that the highlights on the glass will be more vibrant. If i spent more time on the project itself then I could have made it look a little bit better but I really like the idea of this. I do not like this piece.
Here are my sketches and my ideas. I tried different types of compositions before I picked my final |
